Meet Ray Aquino, one of our Spring 2022 interns!
Ray is a Senior studying International Relations at the University of Missouri. We asked him to share a little about his experience at City of Refuge.
“As I am studying international relations, this is a perfect opportunity for me to learn how to handle people from different cultures that may be coming from unfortunate situations.
I am hoping to be able to build relationships with people even if there is a language barrier. I am also looking to learn about the cultures of the people we are going to be working with.
This being my first time working with an organization like this, it's interesting to see all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes. The organization does a great job of providing an easy comfort to the refugees of Columbia."
