Earlier today our office manager shared a wonderful article and video from the Missourian.

If you are curious about the journey and experiences of our new friends, perhaps you might take a minute to read this article and watch the video. The family in this video was the first Afghan family to walk through our doors. Since then we have had dozens of new Afghan friends walk through our doors and we will probably have dozens more in the near future.
Many of our new Afghan neighbors have been here long enough to have homes and jobs. Recently we were able to help one man avoid getting scammed by someone on Facebook; the refugee was simply trying to purchase a good used car. Many people know that our elderly are easy prey for the scammers and the unscrupulous, but maybe do not realize that our refugee/immigrant population are just as vulnerable.
Thank you to Columbia for your heart and compassion as we assist these new neighbors. Your support allows us to welcome and assist these families from Afghanistan!
And of some have compassion, making a difference: Jude 1:22 KJV
