Yesterday was my first time visiting Kent's Floral Gallery in downtown Columbia.

When I first walked in the door, I was greeted by a smiling employee as well as beautiful scents in the air. Truthfully, I had fun wandering the store looking at the different eclectic and artfully designed displays. The lemon vignette was probably my favorite! The offerings were varied and many, from cute reusable shopping bags to elegant decor.
Flowers trigger such positive thoughts and memories for me. My grandmother spent hours mentoring me about floral arranging so that I could enter into the youth division of our county fair. She would also help us (grand-kids) prepare hanging baskets for our mothers almost every year. I loved to walk around her yard to enjoy the water features and flowers; it seemed like almost an enchanted garden, with new surprises around each corner. At one point we were her neighbors and I enthusiastically picked EVERY bloom in her yard to decorate our back deck. My parents were understandably upset, but I don't remember my grandmother doing more than laughing. I probably would have cried if I were in her shoes.
Thank you to Kent's Floral Gallery. Not only do you provide lovely arrangements to our community, but you also partnered with us to provide much needed programming to our new friends and neighbors!
And of some have compassion, making a difference: Jude 1:22 KJV
