Meet One of our Volunteers

We could not do what we do without the many volunteers who support the City of Refuge!

Meet Courtney, one of our long-time volunteers.
Courtney has been volunteering with City of Refuge for over 10 years! She started by helping years ago during one of the first garage sales with Jen & Adam Wheeler. Courtney has 8 children who have each helped alongside her in some way.
She has helped in so many ways over the years: sorting and selling clothes, making cookies for the golf tournament, tutoring as a Homework Helper with her teenagers, and watching children during the English classes with her youngest son.
Thank you for the MANY ways you are impacting our community, Courtney!

Are you interested in volunteering somewhere?  Reach out at the link below to talk to someone who will help find the perfect place for you to make an impact.  I love that Courtney has involved her children in her volunteer opportunities.   Children love to help and make contributions.  It is also an excellent way to teach them to look for ways to reach out independently, both now and when they grow up.  Take it from this mom, it warms my heart to see my adult children participating in outreach programs when they are away from my circle of influence.

And of some have compassion, making a difference: Jude 1:22 KJV
