Cultivating Belonging. 
Every week we have an opportunity to create a space for connection and community. For many of the younger people that we serve, Homework Helpers has become a regular meeting place to connect with friends. Volunteers tutor children from elementary to high school, helping them with schoolwork assigned to them. Sometimes parents will want their children to practice extra speaking, writing, or reading.
Homework Helpers has become a place to belong. The connections these students get to build week after week is vital to their development. What a gift to be able to help meet this need for belonging for these young neighbors.
